Aslan is the one true king of lion of namia , and represents all that is good. He is very large and terrifying, but also wise and magnificent. He teaches the children of Narnia to love and respect all animals, and even their enemies, by simply looking into his eyes. Throughout the series, Aslan appears as different sizes to the characters, although he himself never changes. He also helps the children and other characters overcome their troubles, and he often leads them into his own country through the Stable Door at the end of Narnia.
He is the father of King Caspian X, and he led him into battle against the usurper Miraz to restore his throne. Aslan created Narnia by singing and roaring, and brought everything in it into existence from the darkness of an empty world. He also witnessed the writing of the Deep Magic from the Dawn of Time by his father, the Emperor-beyond-the-Sea.

In The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Aslan reveals himself to the Pevensie children through the wardrobe. He later charges Digory Kirke and Jill Pole of the school in which they attend, with the task of bringing Jadis back from her dying homeworld to Narnia. During the quest, Aslan gives them four Signs to guide their way.
He is the creator of Narnia and its first King and Queen. After the White Witch is defeated, he revives all the petrified citizens of Narnia and crowns them. He is also the father of Prince Rilian, and he leads him into battle against the usurper King Miraz to restore his throne in The Prince Caspian. He also teaches him to be brave and to stand up for what is right.
